Backup and Recovery
We have implemented conventional backup (Tape) protocols along with the solutions to manage administrative and space problems.
LAN-free Backup - We have overcome the problems associated with traditional LAN based backups by developing SAN based backup. The LAN-free backup passes over the need of a dedicated backup network, preserving existing business network bandwidth. The major advantage is the faster data transfer performance as transfer occurs across the high speed SAN.
Disk-Based Backup - Continuous online backup offers disk to disk backup options that utilize high speed disk arrays to cache the backup data stream to eliminate the tape drive as the bottleneck on the data path.
Our earlier executed projects in backup and recovery solutions, have also provided the solutions using technologies viz. Snapshot, Disaster recovery solutions, CDP (Continuous data protection), Consumer Backup (Utility storage application), and VSS based application specific backup (MS SQL / MS Exchange).
We offer backup management including remote backup location, backup scheduler, with event notification and logs reports. The restore infrastructure is developed as per client requirement.
CDP
We have combined conventional approaches to develop a product serving benefits of both True CDP and Near CDP. This way, we have ensured regular and consistent incremental snapshots at every periodic interval with minimum Recovery Point Objective (RPO).
This product especially suffices the need for most of the business continuity environments. For snapshots we implement Copy on Write for each IO, however, we classify the data as a snapshot COW data and CDP data. We provide the facility to take the incremental snapshots at periodic intervals where only the first snapshot is a complete set of the volume image and subsequent snapshots only constitute the delta over previous snapshot.
Snapshot
We provide following snapshot features:
- Block level snapshot on Mac OS X
- Independent snapshot (Copy On Write)
- GUI for creating, deleting, restoring and viewing list of ongoing snapshot
- Standard performance figures
- Snapshot in active server environment
